Thomas “Tom” Arasi currently leads Solaire Resort and Casino as President, Chief Operating Officer and Board Director. Bloomberry Resorts Corporation is a public company listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE: BLOOM) that develops tourist facilities, casino, entertainment, and hotel and amusement-themed projects.

Tom brings a wealth of gaming and hospitality experience in running Bloomberry’s US$1.2 billion Solaire Resort & Casino. He is responsible for leading the effort in ensuring Solaire’s continued ramp-up in its operations, profitability and ascent to one of the world’s leading “Integrated Resorts.” Tom is also leading Solaire’s expansion of its US$550 million Phase I-A expansion opening by the fourth quarter of 2014.

Prior to Solaire, Tom has held several noteworthy positions, including as President and Chief Executive Officer of Marina Bay Sands Pte Ltd (www.marinabaysands.com). He oversaw every aspect of the operations of this premier Integrated Resort. Currently, Wall Street values Marina Bay Sands at US $25 Billion. Tom led all operations of Marina Bay Sands which was a major catalyst for parent company’s 400%+ increased share price over an 18-month period. He successfully managed the challenging construction process on schedule, managed diverse interests of numerous public and private stakeholders, completed mass recruiting, on-boarding and training of 8,600 employees in 576 different job positions, oversaw creation and implementation of 3,100 standard-operating-procedures and achieved unprecedented profitability including one of the world’s most profitable casinos, 50%+plus EBITDA margin and the number 1 REVPAR in Singapore. Tom was involved in the build-out, leasing, and operation of the 1 Million Square foot Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, one of Asia’s most luxurious shopping malls. Marina Bay Sands attained iconic status through operations, guest experience and service culture, marketing and public relations initiatives and produced circa US $1 Billion of EBITDA in the first 12 months of operations (while finishing construction and ramping-up).

Tom brings sector expertise in the management of casino, hospitality (hotel, restaurant, serviced apartment and branded residential), retail and mixed-use real estate businesses as well as deep organizational leadership experience. His functional expertise covers property and corporate-level operations, brand management, real estate development, asset/investment management, franchising, finance, and REITs.

Tom has led several blue-chip companies as President or CEO. In operations, he oversaw three international businesses for InterContinental Hotels Group, including serving as Global Brand Manager of Crowne Plaza Hotels and President—The Americas divisions. Tom led Lodgian, Inc., a New York Stock Exchange company, CNL Capital Management (REIT) in the restaurant sector and also held senior property executive positions with Sheraton Hotels and Westin Hotels.

In real estate and investment, Tom was President of Portman Holdings, a multi-billion dollar owner/developer with mixed-use properties in North America, China, India and Korea and of Tishman Hotel Corp. which owns, develops and manages large resort and convention assets. At Salomon Brothers, he worked in Tokyo, New York and Los Angeles on real estate debt and equity financing and mergers and acquisitions. Tom has a BA in hotel and restaurant management from Cornell University.
